Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Momint Bakery. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking or purchase.
1. Orders & Booking
All 1-tier cake orders must be placed at least 3 days in advance of your event date.
All 2-tier and larger cake orders must be placed at least 7 days in advance.
Tasting boxes must be ordered at least 5 days before the delivery/ collection date.
An order is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
2. Payment
Payments can be made via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). Banking details will be shared upon invoice.
All 1-tier cake orders must be paid for at least 3 days before the event date.
All 2-tier and larger cake orders must be paid for at least 7 days before the event date.
Tasting box orders must be paid in full at least 5 days before the delivery/collection date.
Failure to make payment on time may result in order cancellation.
Your booking date is not secured until payment is received.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel a 1-tier cake order 3 days before your event date, a full refund is available.
If you cancel a 2-tier or larger cake order more than 7 days before your event, a full refund is available.
If you cancel a tasting box order more than 5 days before delivery/collection, a full refund is available.
Cancellations made after the above cutoffs will not be refunded.
In the rare event that I am unable to fulfill your order due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.
4. Changes to Orders
Any design or flavour changes must be requested no later than 7 days before your delivery/ pick up date.
Changes are subject to approval and may affect the final price.
Last-minute changes may not be possible, especially for custom decorations or specialty items.
Momint Bakery holds the right to make changes to any cake design during the creation process if we feel this is necessary to achieve a cohesive and balanced design.
5. Delivery & Collection
Cakes can be collected from my home studio in Durbanville, Cape Town. Collection time will be arranged in advance.
Delivery is available at an additional cost, calculated based on your delivery address.
Once a cake has been collected or delivered, all responsibility passes to the client. Momint is not liable for any damage that occurs after collection or during transit if not delivered by us.
6. Design & Creative Control
While every effort is made to replicate design references provided by clients, each cake is unique and subject to creative interpretation.
Natural variations may occur in colour, floral arrangement, and overall finish. This is especially true for handcrafted and seasonal elements.
Momint reserves the right to make design adjustments where necessary.
7. Allergies & Dietary Requirements
All cakes are made in a kitchen that handles eggs, dairy, gluten, nuts, and soy. While precautions are taken, we cannot guarantee that any product is free from allergens.
It is the client’s responsibility to inform Momint Bakery about any allergies or dietary requirements before the order is confirmed.
It is also the client’s responsibility to inform their guests of any potential allergens.
8. Cake Storage & Serving
Cakes are best stored in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
Buttercream cakes should be refrigerated but brought to room temperature 1–2 hours before serving for the best flavour and texture.
Once the cake has left my care, I am not responsible for how it is stored, transported, or served.
9. Photography & Social Media
Momint reserves the right to photograph your cake for portfolio use, social media, or marketing purposes.
If your event is under an embargo or you’d prefer to keep photos private until a specific date, please let me know in advance.
10. Liability
Momint is not liable for any damage to the cake once it has been delivered or collected.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is disrespectful, abusive, or in violation of these terms.
